Denying yourself food in order to lose weight doesn’t work. Not only is it unsustainable on the long term but relies too heavily on will power over proven, automatic methods for fat loss that work with your body.

Significantly Reduce Soda Consumption

Sodas are bad. There is no other way to say it. The huge amounts of bad sugar (corn syrup) and other chemicals that wreck havoc on your body. This is largely an American problem because sodas made overseas are often still made with cane sugar.

Simply eliminating sodas from your diet will help you lose weight without any added work. Just be sure to replace them with water, real teas (if it’s in a can, beware), and real juices (if it says “natural flavors” or “natural juices”, beware).

Besides the great sensation of bubbles tingling your palette, the caffine in the drink is probably going to make it hard for you to quit. If cold turkey is too much for you, reduce your intake over time. Start by holding yourself to a can or less per day and ratchet down from there.

Never Consume Another “Diet” Version of a Product Again!

The “diet” label on foods is the biggest scam ever perpetuated. It feeds into people’s desire to do something about their bodies with actually putting forth any effort.

The reality is that the “diet” version of your favorite food or soft drink is worse for you than the original. There is absolutely nothing diet about it and they actually work against you in your efforts. Get them out of your eating habits today. The same goes for the “low fat” and “reduced fat” products you see. The chemicals and processes used to make them “low fat” are destroying your health.

What About Everything Else “Bad”…

You probably noticed that fried foods, sweets, and other “bad foods” are not on the list. That is because, you can have them! Like it was stated earlier, denying yourself is not going to help.

Moderation is the key. As long as you do not over consume the “bad foods”, you should be alright.
