Advantages of Body Weight Workouts

When it comes to working out, there are millions of excuses for not making the effort to exercise. Some of the classics are:

“I don’t have time.”
“I don’t have a gym membership.”
“I’m too tired when I get home from work.”
“I don’t have any equipment at home.”
“I don’t like people looking at me at the gym.”

While these excuses really do not carry much weight behind them, there is an alternative that completely eliminates any reasons you may have for not working out. This alternative is the use of body weight exercises.

Just as the name implies, body weight exercises use your own body in order to create the resistance needed to work your muscles. Below are some of the many advantages of using these types of exercises.

These exercises are a great way for you to tone your muscles and burn excess fat without using a gym, committing a lot of time to the process, or paying for gym memberships or workout equipment. There are many different variations on body weight exercises and nearly all of them have the advantages outlined above.
